Harbor is looking for a full-time Psychiatric LPN or RN to join our Perrysburg team! This position works with other members of the team in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of clients receiving medical services.
Position is full-time and 1st shift.
Education/Experience/Other Requirements :
- An Associate’sdegree from an accredited school of Nursing with a current LPN or RN license inOhio.
- Two years’ experience working in psychiatric nursing preferred.
- Must be proficient andaccuratein computer use, including Microsoft Word.
- CPR/BLSand NCI/CPI Certificationsrequiredwithin
90 daysof employment. - Must have a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and show proof of personal auto insurance policy to bedeemedinsurable with Harbor’s vehicle insurance carrier.
Essential Job Competencies/Primary Duties:
- Nurses may work at all Harbor sites but will have asite of primary responsibility.
Responsibility for a site includes the following: - reviews and updates treatment plans for clients receiving pharmacologic management services ;
- ordersandmonitors
Central Pharmacy medications; - coordinating insurance forms and pre-certifications as necessary;
- completes quarterly checks of first aid boxes, blood borne pathogen kits and maintenance of medical equipment; amount of time necessary to manage a site will bedeterminedby supervisor and the nurse managing the site.
- Provides medication management of clients through:
- dispensing medication samples or Central Pharmacy medications;
- collaborating with other medical and clinical team members on an ongoing basis.
- Responsible for managing medication rooms,maintaining records of medicationuseand disposing of expired medications.
- When necessary,assists other clinical staff with crisis intervention and pre-hospital screening.
- Provides referral/linkage of client to appropriate resources.
- Completes the required number of peer review forms.
- Completes all necessary documentation in a timely manner.
- Types clinical documentation in the formatappropriateand acceptable to Harbor.
- Provides support for providers byinitiatinglab requestsandcoordinatingcompletion of patient medical documentation requests.
- In providing billable services, fulfills or exceeds unit expectationsestablishedby Harbor.
- Attends meetings asrequiredand serves on committees as requested.
- Provides back upatother sites as needed and requested by supervisor.
- Maintains certification to docrisis intervention and pre-hospital screening.?
- Participates in professional meetings, workshops,seminar sand other continuing education programs to keep current with professional practice, to contribute to his/her professional growth and tomaintainlicensure.
- May float to other locations to accommodate client or agency needs.

Associates + 2 years Experience or better in Nursing.
