Overview

We are seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to support supplier quality initiatives and material quality performance for a short-term, on-site contract role in Perrysburg, OH. The role involves working closely with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams to drive corrective actions, supplier development, and continuous improvement initiatives. This position is suited for a hands-on quality professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
  • Perform failure analysis and inspection techniques on supplier materials
  • Support supplier audits, assessments, and source inspections
  • Evaluate supplier approval status and identify the need for corrective action plans
  • Interface with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve material quality issues
  • Initiate and track corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Support Supplier Quality Development initiatives
  • Drive process improvement and continuous improvement activities
  • Assess supplier processes and capabilities using Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Mentor suppliers to improve quality performance and meet customer requirements
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
  • Strong experience in Quality Engineering and/or Supplier Quality Engineering
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Control and Quality Assurance
  • Experience with ISO 9001 standards
  • Knowledge of PPAP documentation, APQP, Control Plans, and Flow Charts
  • Experience in data analysis and supplier management
  • Hands-on experience with blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision measurement tools
  • Solid understanding of quality control standards and methodologies
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • High attention to detail with a results-driven mindset
