Job Summary:

ACCOUNTABILITIES
* All duties listed below are essential unless noted otherwise
* Receives work orders and determines appropriate maintenance and repairs on all vehicle components that include, but not limited to brakes, engine components, transmissions, suspension components, steering components, coolant systems, air conditioners, lifts, fuel systems, exhaust systems and vehicle electrical systems, and other components on gasoline and diesel-powered engines.

Performs complex diagnostics, preventative maintenance, and services on all vehicle systems.

Accounts for all work performed on a work order and properly documents all parts, supplies and labor extended for repairs within the Fleet electronic system.

Respond to road service calls as needed.

Communicates with Fleet and Field Supervisor any unexpected delays in returning vehicles to service within the same day.

Maintain and foster positive and effective working relationships with associated staff and vendors.

Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High School Diploma or GED

Skills:

Demonstrate people skills and effective communication skills. Ability to prioritize and coordinate a multitude of tasks. Must have proficient computer and keyboarding skills, diagnostic skills, diligence, skills, and ability to safely use hand tools of the trade; diagnose and skillfully repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions in gasoline, and diesel-powered vehicles involving the use of specialized tools, instruments, and equipment.

Experience:

Two Years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.

License:
Valid driver’s license in the state in which you will work and a clean driving record, as demonstrated by an MVR in order to be covered under the Company’s insurance policy.

Certification: N/AP REFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Completion of an automotive technology program

Certification:
National Automotive Service Technician (ASE)
WORKING CONDITIONS Personal Protective Equipment: N/APhysical Demands:
Must be able to frequently move, lift, or carry materials weighting up to 50 lbs. Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, bend for extended periods of time, Performs heavy physical labor in a variety of outdoor conditions.
