Bus Driver – Child Care Program

Get ready to hit the road and become a Part Time Bus Driver for our child care program at our YMCA Child Development Center at Owens Community College! If you love working with kids and enjoy being on the move, this role is perfect for you. As an essential part of our team, you'll have the chance to create a safe and positive experience for children as you transport them to and from our programs.

Plus, you'll get to be a role model while having a blast behind the wheel.
No CDL required! Hours required Monday-Friday 7:30am-8:45am and 2:30-4:30pm.

As a Bus Driver for our Child Care Programs at the Y, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our young program participants. Your responsibilities will include providing reliable transportation to and from various program sites, all while fostering a positive and encouraging environment onboard the bus. In addition to your primary duties, you may also have the opportunity to lend a helping hand in other areas as needed.

To thrive as a Bus Driver within our Child Care Programs at YMCA of Greater Toledo, having some key skills and qualifications is essential. Ideally, candidates will possess at least 6 months of previous work experience as a mini-bus driver, although this is not mandatory. Familiarity with and adherence to the rules and guidelines concerning vans and commercial passenger vehicles (bus) is crucial for ensuring the safety and security of our young passengers.

You DO NOT need your CDL for this position.

Additionally, having a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a passion for working with children are all valuable assets that will contribute to your success in this role.
