Performing Arts Roles/ Dance Instructor
The Raritan Bay Area YMCA is seeking a Kids Theatre Instructor to lead interactive theatre classes that foster creativity, self-expression, and confidence.
Classes are held on Tuesdays from 6pm to 7pm. The position is located in Perth Amboy, just five miles west of New York City.
The Kids Theatre Instructor will guide participants through creative theatre experiences, encouraging imagination, storytelling, and performance skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver age-appropriate theatre and movement lessons
- Maintain a safe, positive, and structured classroom environment
- Communicate student progress with parents and staff
- Inspire children through theatre, dance, and creative expression
- Consistent, part-time schedule with set weekly classes

Competencies:
Mission Advancement, Collaboration, Operational Effectiveness, and Personal Growth.
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Experience teaching theatre, performing arts, or creative movement to children
- Knowledge of theatre fundamentals, creative movement, and age-appropriate activities
- CPR/AED certified or willing to obtain
