Your Role:As a Preschool Teacher (P‑3 Certified) at Acelero Learning, you will play a vital role in delivering high‑quality early childhood education to children ages 3–5. You will create a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment that supports school readiness and whole‑child development, working collaboratively with an Assistant Teacher, families, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure positive outcomes for children of all abilities.
What You’ll Do:- Deliver high‑quality instruction:
Implement a child‑centered curriculum that promotes active engagement, social‑emotional development, and school readiness for all learners. - Create a supportive learning environment:
Establish a structured, safe, and nurturing classroom with consistent routines and a print‑rich environment that builds literacy, numeracy, and problem‑solving skills. - Individualize learning experiences:
Use observations, assessments, and anecdotal notes to track progress and tailor instruction to meet the diverse needs of children. - Support positive behavior:
Address challenging behaviors through observation, prevention strategies, skill‑building, and family collaboration. - Partner with families:
Build strong relationships with families to support children’s learning and development at home and in the classroom. - Ensure inclusion for all learners:
Integrate Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapt instruction to support children of all abilities. - Maintain compliance and safety:
Ensure the safety and supervision of children at all times in accordance with Head Start and licensing requirements, including during meals, outdoor play, and field trips. - Monitor and analyze outcomes:
Conduct ongoing assessments and analyze child outcomes to inform instruction and improve classroom practices in partnership with leadership.
- Educational Requirements:
P‑3 Teacher Certification (CEAS or Standard). Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field with at least six (6) ECE courses. - Professional
Skills:
Strong understanding of early childhood development and instructional strategies; ability to create inclusive, engaging learning environments; effective communication and collaboration skills. - Additional Requirements:
Successful completion of a physical exam and background checks; valid driver’s license and/or reliable transportation; ability to travel up to 10% for work‑related meetings or events.
