QC Lab Analyst

Job Description

Perform QC analysis for essential oils, pre-shipment materials, and raw materials. Generate Certificates of Analysis for customer requests and enter Quality Control Results in the QC module.

Responsibilities

+ Conduct tests such as Specific Gravity, Refractive Index, Optical Rotation, Aldehydes, Acid value, Flash Point, Solubility, and Ph.

+ Evaluate the sensory profile of tested items, including odor, color, and physical appearance.

+ Enter samples into the QC database and set up the samples on the GC Auto sampler.

+ File batch production and raw material retention samples.

+ Scan completed Batch sheets and vendor certificates of analysis.

+ Maintain clean lab equipment and prepare testing solutions.

+ Comply with all relevant SQF procedures and regulations.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in using GCMS and LIMS.

+ Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Environmental Science.

+ 1-3+ years of experience with GC in flavors.

+ Experience using LIMS, preferably Net Suite.

+ Strong background in chemistry and quality control.

Experience with Net Suite is an advantage.

Work Environment

Work in a lab environment with a team possessing mixed tenure ranging from 1 year to 30 years.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Perth Amboy, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $34.00/hr.
