What You’ll Do as a Territory Manager:- Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team‑based selling model. Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations, and pricing strategies.
- Drive sales success, increasing case growth and acquiring new business through impactful sales presentations and a tailored approach.
- Work collaboratively with Specialists to assist with top penetration opportunities and new account openings, and coordinate with marketing, supply chain, and customer service to ensure seamless product delivery.
- Develop new business by identifying prospective customers using market intelligence databases, business directories, referrals, organizations, clubs, trade shows, and conferences.
- Manage deliveries according to the transportation department’s routing schedule, troubleshooting delivery issues such as mis‑picks, short loads, or stock‑outs.
- Maintain knowledge of market conditions, product innovations, competitor products, prices, and sales to provide value‑added information to customers.
- Drive your personal motor vehicle for regular check‑ins, site visits, and follow‑ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
- No direct reports.
- Daily work outside the office, visiting customers in variable weather and temperature conditions.
- 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license; motor vehicle record in good standing.
- Food service industry, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality experience preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
- Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold‑call to develop new business.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals.
- Problem‑solving, organizational, and negotiation skills.
- Team‑up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Tech‑savvy – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools such as Salesforce is a plus.
- Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The initial expected base rate for this role is $55,000 - $95,000.
