The Facilities Mechanic maintains, repairs, and supports the upkeep of buildings, equipment, and utility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations within a food manufacturing environment. This role combines hands‑on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC work with documentation and coordination responsibilities to keep the facility running smoothly.

• Perform preventive maintenance on facility equipment to reduce downtime and extend asset life.
• Carry out corrective maintenance and repairs on building systems and production‑related equipment as issues arise.
• Repair and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure consistent and safe operation.
• Troubleshoot equipment and building‑related issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Conduct regular facility inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and areas for improvement.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to restore operations and minimize disruptions.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation for all completed tasks and inspections.
• Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, internal policies, and relevant standards.
• Coordinate and communicate with contractors and vendors to schedule service, obtain quotes, and oversee work performed.
• Collaborate with operations and other departments to prioritize maintenance activities and support production goals.

• Proven experience in building and facilities maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Hands‑on skills in plumbing, including installation, repair, and maintenance of facility plumbing systems.
• Experience maintaining and repairing HVAC systems, including troubleshooting and routine servicing.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, including basic troubleshooting and repair of facility electrical components.
• Mechanical aptitude with experience maintaining and repairing mechanical systems and equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve equipment and building‑related issues efficiently.
• Ability to maintain detailed maintenance logs, work orders, and related documentation.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a facilities or industrial setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

• Experience working in a food manufacturing or similar regulated production environment.
• Comfort using documentation systems for maintenance tracking and reporting.
• Ability to coordinate and schedule work with external vendors and service providers.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when maintaining records and logs.
