Substance Abuse Counselor

Salary: $58,000 per year

• Conduct substance abuse assessments, make appropriate impressions regarding client’s needs for substance abuse treatment, make recommendations to appropriate level of care based on ASAM criteria and Level of Care Index, provide case management, obtain urine specimens for testing, and input data into the agency database.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to be flexible, work independently, multi‑task, good organizational skills, DSM‑5 knowledgeable, and customer‑service oriented, with the ability to work in a diverse fast‑paced environment.

• Only those with a CADC or who have passed the written test toward the CADC will be considered.
• Fluent in Spanish preferred.
