• Accurately complete delivery paperwork and communicate with production, sales, and customers regarding issues with loads and delivery times.
• Maintain electronic or paper logs of working hours.
• Work well with team members or independently; give and receive feedback constructively.
• Use Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) during vehicle operation; driver will receive training.
• Set up sideboard kit around the trailer floor perimeter.
• Perform daily pre-trip, inter-trip, and post-trip inspections.
• Deliver products to customers, contractors, and jobsites throughout the geographic region.
• Ensure vehicle is properly loaded, load secured, and product delivered safely and timely.
• Inventory and inspect goods to be moved to determine quantities and conditions.
• Work safely to prevent injuries by following safety rules and regulations, including proper use of company PPE.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

• Successfully pass a company road test and maintain a clean driving record.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver License required.
• Pass required DOT and CMC Logistics drug testing programs and physicals as required by DOT.
• Driver must be knowledgeable in DOT regulations and requirements.
• No violation for speeding 15 mph or more above the posted speed limit in the previous 3 years.
• No on-road preventable accidents during the past 3 years.
• No more than 1 moving violation in the previous 3 years.
• Ability to inspect vehicles for safety or operational defects using DOT, maintenance, and safety checklists; ensure emergency equipment is in proper working order.
• Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor/trailer experience required.
• Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule Monday through Friday, which may include some overtime.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Must be willing to learn and tackle new challenges.
• Must have effective listening and verbal skills to identify important information and engage with internal and external customers.
• No DUI or DWI within the last 5 years.
• No violation for careless, negligent, or reckless operation of a commercial motor vehicle in the previous 3 years.

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
