This is a fantastic opportunity to secure an Early Learning and Childcare Practitioner role within Perth & Kinross Council.
We are seeking a qualified and skilled Early Childhood Practitioner (ECP) with expertise in early childhood learning and development to join our large and experienced team at the Letham Early Years and Childcare Centre.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, deliver, observe and record learning activities with young children.
- Provide care and welfare for children, including those with additional support needs.
- Participate and contribute to continued professional learning.
- Enjoy working with young children and have the motivation and energy to provide engaging, child‑centred, creative learning experiences.
- Ability to work on own initiative and as a team member who supports colleagues in developing a flexible early learning and childcare service, aligned with nursery policies and procedures.
- Hold an appropriate qualification such as SNNEB, NNEB, HNC, SCQF Level 7 equivalent, SVQ 3 in Childcare and Education, or SVQ 3 Social Services (Children and Young People) and be eligible to register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). Unregistered applicants may apply provided they register within 3 months of starting and are registered within 6 months.

Working with children and/or protected adults is regarded as a regulated role. Under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020 you will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check. If you have lived overseas for 12 months or more within the last 10 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
Confirmed offers of employment and commencement will be subject to mandatory pre‑employment checks, including references, as well as eligibility to work in the UK, relevant qualifications and fitness to undertake the post.
