DescriptionWe are looking for a qualified (Level
2) Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Monkey Puzzle Woodford. Your role will involve supporting the nursery to grow and perform at a high standard, ensuring all legislation and EYFS frameworks are adhered to, and creating inspirational learning environments for children.
- Support the nursery to grow and perform at a high standard, whilst ensuring that all legislation and EYFS frameworks are adhered to.
- Create inspirational, creative, and effective learning environments in line with the needs of the children and the nursery.
- Ensure the safety and welfare of children through a confident knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures.
- Implement the EYFS with a good understanding of child development.
- Report any issues of concern to a senior team member or relevant services.
- Work in partnership with parents and our partners to ensure our children thrive.
- Show a positive attitude with children, parents, colleagues and visitors to maintain our happy nursery.
- You will be able to help provide high standards of care and education to meet the individual needs of the children.
- You are able to provide play based learning opportunities for all children.
- You will be able to adhere to all company policies and procedures and maintain positive working relationships with the team, parents and carers.
- You will know when to report issues of concern to a senior team member.
- You have a positive attitude and creative ideas to inspire learning.
- You have good verbal and written communication skills with adults and children.
- You will have great planning and organisation skills.
- You will have a willingness to learn.
- Ensure high levels of interaction with children in order to help extend their learning.
- Support children at mealtimes ensuring these provide a positive social experience for the children.
- Provide support for children who are transitioning to new settings.
- Help children with feeding, changing clothes, nappies, toileting etc.
- GCSE grades 5-9/A-C.
- Full and relevant Level 2 in Early Years.
- Able to ensure the safety and welfare of children through a confident knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures.
- Appropriate behaviour management.
- Able to participate in child observations and assessments with a good understanding of child development.
- Food Hygiene Level 2.
- FGM.
- Safeguarding.
