Semi Skilled Mechanic​/Service Technician

Job Summary

We’re looking for a semi‑skilled mechanic / service technician to join our close‑knit team at Stagecoach Perth. You will keep our modern, low‑emission fleet safe, reliable, and ready to serve the community. Prior mechanical experience is preferred; all training is provided.

• Maintain and service buses to Stagecoach and DVSA safety standards.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic tools.
• Carry out preventative and reactive maintenance, including roadside repairs.
• Report defects and complete all work safely and in line with policies.
• Collaborate with workshop colleagues and support junior team members.

• Previous hands‑on experience servicing and repairing vehicles is preferable but not required.
• Confidence using diagnostic tools and service manuals.
• A proactive, safety‑first approach.
• A team player with strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence.

• Full training provided (health & safety, equipment use, cleaning standards).
