Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a Senior Mechanical Designer to join our growing Drafting and Design team in San Isidro.

Reporting to the Principal Designer, the Senior Mechanical Designer will produce high quality, cost effective, detail 3D designs and general arrangement drawings.

The designer will, in general, work under the supervision of the Principal Designer, Project Lead Designer, Lead Discipline Design Engineer or the Project Lead Engineer.

• 3D Micro Station software (and preferably Aecosim or Triforma) and to use those skills within the Lycopodium defined CAD procedures
• Supervision of up to three subordinate personnel.
• Layout and detailing of materials handling and mine plant design in their nominated discipline.
• Produce design drawings that are consistent industry standard techniques and that comply to Lycopodium drawing office and CAD procedures.
• Demonstrate a sound understanding of fabrication and construction techniques.
• Demonstrate a commitment to continued professional development.
• Check design drawings as required.

• Proficiency in 3D Microstation software.
• An approved diploma qualification in Engineering Design Drafting of their discipline or directly related industry experience of 10 years.
