As a Cost Accounting Analyst, you are responsible for executing cost accounting closing activities, managing inventory, and overseeing budget control for the factory. You provide cost-related support to plant operations and ensure accurate application of accounting policies and procedures. This role reports directly to the Financial Leader, who in turn reports to the Plant Controller. You also collaborate with internal and external auditors, external advisors, and various areas of the organization to maintain compliance and operational accuracy.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Execute account reconciliations, prepare journal entries, and support month‑end closing activities to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.
- Support tax compliance by preparing required monthly tax information and meeting all filing deadlines.
- Provide timely financial and cost analysis, standard cost calculations, cost estimates, and AOP inputs for internal stakeholders, auditors, and special projects.
- Participate in annual and cycle physical inventories, ensuring accurate valuation, variance analysis, WIP reconciliation, and proper accounting of results.
- Prepare cost reports, monitor manufacturing indicators, manage plant budget controls, and ensure proper cost allocation across materials and processes.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation by leveraging new technologies, training initiatives, and process enhancements that support sustainable business growth.
- A Bachelor's degree in a business related field (i.e. Accounting, Finance, Economics, etc.).
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Finance / Accounting Experience working with multi-national corporations.
- Knowledge of both local (IFRS) and US GAAP accounting rules.
- Desired Accounting Certification (i.e. CPA).
- Experience in Industrial Process (Plant).
- Knowledge, understanding, and practical skills in SAP.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot table, vlookup, macro).
- Strong analytical skills and ability to understand complex data and issues and proactively develop solutions.
