- Serves as the primary HR lead and main point of contact for the Peru warehouse location, providing day‑to‑day support and partnership to local leadership.
- Acts as a resource for employees and managers to address concerns, mediate conflicts, conduct investigations, and foster a supportive work environment.
- Partners closely with warehouse leadership to support performance management efforts, including coaching, employee development, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensures compliance with company policies, procedures, and employment regulations, proactively addressing concerns and guiding leaders on best practices.
- Maintains accurate, up‑to‑date employee records in compliance with legal and company standards.
- Manages employee leave administration, including FMLA, personal, medical, and other company leaves.
- Serves as backup support for payroll, ensuring accuracy and continuity in processing.
- Assists with various HR projects and works closely with the HR team to support key initiatives.
- Collaborates with the Director of HR and department heads to understand staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
- Manages the full‑cycle recruitment process in the ATS, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Establishes and maintains recruitment metrics to track effectiveness of hiring strategies.
- Effectively communicate clearly and listen actively, both verbally and in writing.
- Build positive relationships with employees and candidates.
- Collaborate and work across teams to achieve common goals.
- Respond in a timely manner to employees and leadership communication.
- Adaptable to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Knowledge of federal and IL state employment regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms;
Paycom knowledge a plus. - Experience with Canva and Hub Spot is preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; an associate degree required.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in HR.
- Required to travel once per quarter with overnight stays to corporate location in Michigan.
