Azure DevOps Engineer

Overview

You are a senior-level Dev Ops Engineer who enjoys designing, automating, and operating secure, scalable cloud platforms. You thrive in complex environments where infrastructure reliability, automation, and security are critical. You’re comfortable owning infrastructure decisions end to end and collaborating closely with architects and engineering teams to enable high-performing, cloud-native solutions.

You bring to Applaudo the following competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years of experience in senior or staff-level Dev Ops / Infrastructure Engineering roles.
• Professional certifications such as Azure Dev Ops, Terraform
  , or similar (preferred).
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and automation tools such as env0 (or equivalent).
• Strong proficiency with Azure services, including networking, Managed Identities, Key Vault, App Services, AKS, Cosmos DB, Cognitive Search, and Azure OpenAI.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Deep expertise in identity and access management, including Microsoft Entra  (Azure AD) and Okta.
• Advanced skills in CI/CD automation using Git Hub Actions, Azure Dev Ops
  , and related tool chains.
• Proficiency in Linux administration and automation scripting using Bash, Power Shell, and/or Python.
• Experience with monitoring and observability platforms, including Datadog and Azure Application Insights.
• Proven track record contributing to or leading complex cloud infrastructure initiatives in fast-paced or large-scale environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Advanced English proficiency, as you will collaborate with global and US-based teams.

• Design, provision, and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and env
  0. Automate deployments to ensure scalability, consistency, and security.
• Manage Azure networking, databases (SQL, Postgre
  
  SQL, Cosmos DB), and identity tools (Entra , Okta). Ensure robust access controls and platform reliability.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub Actions and Azure Dev Ops. Embed best practices for testing, versioning, and automated releases.
• Implement observability using Datadog and Azure Application Insights. Monitor performance, resolve issues proactively, and optimize cost and reliability.
• Partner with architects and engineers to align on infrastructure standards. Promote Dev Ops culture, automation, and continuous improvement.
