Miami County Economic Development Authority (MCEDA) seeks an Executive Director. The role focuses on driving business attraction and retention strategies, overseeing redevelopment including TIF management and property transactions, serving as Airport Manager for civil operations at Grissom Aeroplex, building partnerships with stakeholders, representing MCEDA, leading staff of six plus consultants/contractors, managing a budget >$2.5M and organizational assets >$28M, ensuring compliance, and providing leadership and strategic planning.
Responsibilities- Drive business attraction and retention strategies
- Oversee redevelopment, including TIF management and property transactions
- Serve as Airport Manager for civil operations at Grissom Aeroplex
- Build partnerships with stakeholders and represent MCEDA
- Lead and manage staff of six plus consultants/contractors
- Manage a budget >$2.5M and organizational assets >$28M
- Ensure compliance and provide leadership and strategic planning
- Bachelor’s in Business, Public Administration, Economic Development, or related field
- 5–7 years progressive leadership experience in ED, local government, or redevelopment
- CEcD or OUEDI credential a plus
- Knowledge of incentives, TIF, and grants
- Financial management, negotiation, leadership, and communication skills
- Aviation management knowledge preferred
