Tap Grinding Operator
The Tap Grinding Operator inspects incoming tooling and supplies, prepares tooling for production, and maintains accurate documentation to support manufacturing activities. This role operates within a safety-focused environment and contributes to a professional and efficient production process.
Responsibilities
- Inspect incoming tooling and supplies to ensure they meet required quality and specification standards.
- Prepare tooling for use in production, including organizing, setting up, and verifying readiness for machining operations.
- Operate manufacturing machinery and equipment safely and efficiently in support of tap grinding and related processes.
- Use hand tools and power tools to perform general labor and production tasks as required.
- Complete and maintain accurate paperwork and production records for tooling, inspections, and daily activities.
- Follow established safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe and professional working environment.
- Perform general production and inspection tasks to support overall manufacturing operations.
- Apply basic math skills to measure, calculate, and verify dimensions and quantities during production and inspection.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately.
- Experience with general labor and production work in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to operate manufacturing machinery and equipment safely.
- Proficiency in using hand tools for production and maintenance tasks.
- Proficiency in using power tools in a manufacturing environment.
- Attention to detail when inspecting tooling and supplies.
- Ability to maintain accurate paperwork and production records.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Previous machining experience preferred.
- Experience with inspection processes in a production environment.
- Familiarity with general production workflows and manufacturing practices.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Peru, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
