Voluntary Action Center is seeking a Part-Time Meals on Wheels Driver to join our team serving the Peru, IL area. This position is scheduled to work Mon, Wed and Friday 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. a week.

As a Meals on Wheels Driver, you’re more than a delivery driver you are the friendly face and daily check‑in our clients rely on. Your work helps reduce isolation and ensures individuals receive the nutrition and care they deserve.

• Deliver meals to clients’ homes using a designated route
• Load and transport meals following established procedures
• Provide friendly, respectful interaction with every client
• Observe and report any concerns regarding client wellbeing
• Serve as a mandated reporter for suspected abuse or neglect
• Support kitchen or site operations as needed

• Compassionate, dependable, and service‑oriented individuals
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily route
• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and physical exam
• Comfortable handling confidential information with discretion
