The Plant Head will lead the end-to-end establishment of a state-of-the-art Greenfield manufacturing facility. This includes infrastructure development, machinery installation, and the successful transition into full-scale production of Low Voltage (LV) and Medium Voltage (MV) switch gear products. The primary objective is to deliver a fully commissioned plant that meets global quality standards on time and within budget.

• Facility Development:
  Oversee construction and shop floor layout to optimize material flow and implement Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Machinery Procurement:
  Lead the selection, sourcing, and installation of equipment including CNC turret punch presses, busbar bending machines, powder coating lines, and secondary injection test kits.
• Statutory Compliance:
  Obtain industrial licenses, electrical inspectorate approvals, environmental permits, and safety certifications required for an LV/MV manufacturing facility.
• Utilities Setup:
  Manage installation of electrical substations, compressed air systems, and firefighting infrastructure.

• Product Implementation:
  Lead technology transfer for LV/MV product lines including Air Insulated Switchgear (AIS), Motor Control Centers (MCC), and Distribution Boards.
• Testing Laboratories:
  Establish in-house testing facilities for dielectric, temperature rise, and mechanical endurance testing in accordance with IEC 61439 (LV) and IEC 62271 (MV) standards.
• Supply Chain Development:
  Build a reliable supplier network for Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCBs), contractors, relays, copper busbars, and enclosures.

• Production Excellence:
  Assume full P&L responsibility after commissioning, driving high Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and minimizing waste.
• Quality Assurance:
  Implement a robust Quality Management System (QMS) ensuring compliance with customer requirements and international standards.
• Team Building:
  Recruit, develop, and mentor departmental leaders across Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Maintenance.

• Voltage Expertise:
  Strong knowledge of LV systems (up to 1000V) and MV systems (3.3kV–33kV).
• Industry Standards:
  Thorough understanding of IEC, ANSI, IEEE standards, and utility regulations.
• Safety:
  Expertise in electrical safety protocols for high-voltage manufacturing and testing environments.

• Experience:
  
  Minimum 5 years in the switch gear industry, including at least one successful Greenfield plant setup in a leadership role.
• Education:
  
  B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering. MBA in Operations or Project Management is preferred.
• Strategic Leadership:
  Ability to balance construction execution with strategic business planning.
• Financial Management:
  Proven experience managing large-scale Cap Ex and OpEx budgets.
• Vendor Management:
  Strong negotiation skills with EPC contractors and global machinery OEMs.

• Commissioning:
  Deliver commercial production within the planned project timeline.
• Budget Control:
  Maintain project expenditure within 5% of the approved Cap Ex budget.
• Quality:
  Achieve more than 95% First Pass Yield (FPY) within the first three months of production.
• Safety:
  Maintain a Zero Harm record throughout construction, installation, and commissioning.
