We are a fast‑growing company in the events and experiences industry seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations and lead a small, high‑performing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys improving processes, ensuring financial accuracy, and supporting a dynamic business with multiple vendors, locations, and event‑related transactions. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in the month‑end close process, vendor management, tax compliance & continuous process improvement while mentoring two direct reports.
Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 per year

- Manage and develop a team of two accounting professionals, providing coaching, mentorship, and performance management.
- Own the monthly, quarterly, and year‑end close processes, ensuring timely & accurate financial reporting.
- Review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
- Oversee accounts payable operations, vendor onboarding, payment approvals & vendor relationship management.
- Ensure compliance with sales tax, use tax, 1099 reporting & other federal, state, and local tax requirements.
- Partner with operations and event teams to ensure accurate accounting for event‑related revenue & expenses.
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting workflows through automation, improved controls & standardized processes.
- Assist with annual audits by preparing schedules & supporting external auditors.
- Maintain & strengthen internal controls & accounting policies.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, & cash‑flow planning as needed.
- Participate in ERP system enhancements & other finance‑related projects.
- Assist leadership with ad‑hoc financial analysis & special projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP & month‑end close processes.
- Experience managing vendor relationships and AP operations.
- Knowledge of sales tax, use tax, & 1099 compliance.
- Advanced Excel skills with experience working in modern ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to partner cross‑functionally.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
- CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
- Experience in the events, hospitality, entertainment, experiential marketing, or project‑based services industry.
- Experience leading process improvement initiatives or ERP implementations.
- Familiarity with multi‑entity or multi‑location accounting environments.
- Month‑end close is completed accurately & on schedule.
- Vendor relationships & payment processes are efficient & well‑managed.
- Tax filings are completed accurately & on time.
- Accounting processes become increasingly automated & scalable.
- The accounting team is engaged, productive, and continuously developing.
- Finance is viewed as a trusted business partner across the organization.
