Banker, Bank Customer Service

We are seeking a customer-focused Banker for a direct hire opportunity in La Jolla, CA. This role is ideal for a banking professional who enjoys building strong client relationships, opening new accounts, delivering exceptional service, and supporting daily branch operations.

• Open, maintain, and service consumer and business accounts, including checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and Trust accounts.
• Assist clients with account questions, product recommendations, and service requests in person and by phone.
• Cross-sell banking products and services based on client needs while supporting branch referral goals.
• Process teller transactions as needed and maintain accurate balancing in accordance with branch procedures.
• Ensure compliance with BSA requirements, account titling standards, and applicable banking regulations.
• Build trusted client relationships through professional communication, sound judgment, and reliable follow-through.

• Open and maintain consumer and basic business banking accounts.
• Provide client service, product guidance, and referral support in a branch banking environment.
• Process teller transactions accurately and support daily branch operations.
• Maintain compliance with BSA, account documentation, and banking procedures.
• Minimum of 2+ years of banking teller experience.
• Experience opening consumer accounts and basic business accounts.
• Knowledge of BSA requirements, account titling, and standard banking procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and banking systems.
• Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Sound judgment with the ability to handle confidential client information professionally.

• Experience with CDs, IRAs, Trust accounts, and business account servicing.
• Prior experience supporting branch sales goals, client referrals, or cross-selling banking products.
• Familiarity with community banking or relationship-based branch environments.
