Overview
The Person al Banker is responsible for delivering exceptional client experience by adhering to our Breakthrough Client Experience Standards. The role involves acquiring new and expanding existing relationships with clients, identifying needs, offering appropriate products and services, and referring clients to the appropriate business partners within the Bank when needed. The banker also uncovers and originates consumer lending opportunities, provides client service by acknowledging inquiries promptly, and conducts client and business financial reviews to uncover additional needs.
The position includes opening Consumer and Business accounts, acting as a resource to Client Service Specialists, filling in on teller functions when needed, and supporting the branch goal of identifying and referring a wide range of bank products.
- Acquire new and expand existing client relationships through effective questioning and needs assessment.
- Offer appropriate products and services and refer clients to suitable internal business partners.
- Uncover and originate consumer lending opportunities.
- Provide immediate acknowledgement and timely responses to client inquiries.
- Engage clients in financial reviews to provide solutions and uncover additional financial needs.
- Make recommendations and follow through on commitments to clients.
- Maintain direct contact with external and internal clients, providing proactive solutions and problem resolutions.
- Open Consumer and Business accounts for new and existing clients.
- Support teller functions, including cash transactions, when needed.
- Identify and refer a wide range of bank products and services to appropriate internal partners.
- Resolve client issues and requests with strong follow‑through.
- High School Diploma or GED, required.
- 1 year of Teller or other banking experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of consumer banking and business products and services offered.
- Ability to accurately handle cash, balance accounts and drawers, and perform accurate calculations.
- Proficiency in expanding client relationships with emphasis on creating new relationships and expanding existing ones.
- Ability and desire to actively develop consumer lending skills.
- NMLS registration preferred.
Pay range: $19.00 - $25.43 per hour. The selected candidate’s pay rate will depend on non‑discriminatory factors including job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and geographic location.
