Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site CNC Setup Machinist role located at our facility in Petaluma, CA. The CNC Setup Machinist will be responsible for preparing, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce precision components. Core duties include interpreting technical drawings, ensuring workpiece alignment, selecting appropriate tools, programming and editing CNC codes, conducting quality inspections, and troubleshooting production issues. The role requires maintaining equipment and adhering to company safety and quality standards.
Qualifications- Proficiency in CNC machine setup, tooling selection, and G-Code interpretation
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD files
- Experience with quality inspection tools, such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges, to ensure precision
- Solid skills in troubleshooting, machine maintenance, and process optimization
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in high-tolerance manufacturing tasks
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and process compliance
- Experience with ISO-certified manufacturing processes is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machining is preferred
