Registered Nurse - Preop and Phase II PACU
This is a 13-week contract position.
Day shift, 5x8 Hour (07:00 - 15:30).
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Preop and Phase II PACU unit. The ideal candidate will have experience in nursing with a focus on administering conscious sedation and managing post-operative patients.
Responsibilities
- Administer conscious sedation and manage airway procedures.
- Monitor patients post-anesthesia and evaluate their recovery status.
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative patient education.
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
- Document all patient interactions and interventions accurately in the charting system.
- Participate in the flow of the PACU, float between sister facilities as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in a similar setting.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- Experience with the Epic charting system preferred.
- Must possess a valid compact nursing license.
