American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring CA licensure and at least 1.5 years of ER experience.

• Emergency Department setting with an average daily census of 65 patients
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 9:00 AM to 9:30 PM
• Weekend shifts required to meet staffing needs
• Floating required between Santa Rosa and Petaluma facilities

• Active CA RN license required at time of consideration (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1.5 years of ER experience required
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required
• Community hospital experience required
• Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, central line care, and ventilator care
• Skilled in BiPAP/CPAP management and ABG interpretation
• Experience with triage and isolation precautions/PPE
• Any charting system experience required
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required

• Provide emergency care including cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction
• Manage IV therapy, central lines, continuous IV sedation, and vasopressors as needed
• Perform triage and maintain isolation precautions/PPE protocols
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO requests limited to no more than 7 days and must be submitted upfront
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
• Travelers may be required to float between sister facilities near the contracted location

Actual start date is typically 3-4 weeks from time the offer is received. Start dates are determined based on facility needs and credentialing requirements.
