Retail Associate/ Customer Service, Stocking
General Purpose
The Retail Associate is responsible for ensuring that customers have a positive shopping experience. The Associate greets all customers in a courteous and friendly manner, treats fellow Associates with respect, follows company best practice standards, maintains a clean work area, and ensures proper merchandise presentation. The Associate will perform a range of functions throughout all store areas as business needs require and may be requested to perform additional tasks as necessary to achieve our customer service and operational goals.
EssentialFunctions
- Prioritizes safety and practices safe behaviors.
- Maintains awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment and keeps egress clear.
- Treats all customers and associates with respect and courtesy.
- Assists customers at the register, with merchandise, and answers questions with knowledge.
- Responds promptly to customer service calls and handles issues courteously.
- Represents and supports the company brand.
- Performs cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, wiping counters and mirrors, replenishing restroom supplies, and disinfecting high-touch areas.
- Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to the company dress code.
- Performs daily assigned sizing and recovery per company best practices.
- Expedites newly received merchandise to the sales floor and merchandises items per plus monthly presentation guidelines.
- Understands loss prevention programs and merchandise protection standards.
- Demonstrates integrity and honesty in all interactions, safeguarding confidential and financial information.
- Follows mark‑out‑of‑stock policies and properly processes MOS merchandise.
- Follows cash handling policies and maintains accuracy with bankable tenders.
- Shows a sense of urgency and maximizes productivity by following store best practices.

- Communicates with customers, associates, and store leadership in a friendly, respectful, and pleasant manner.
- Performs basic mathematical calculations common to retail environments.
- Uses all store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PC.
- Stands, walks, and moves around the store for up to 100% of working time.
- Bends, squats, kneels, climbs, carries, reaches, and stoops regularly.
- Pushed, pulled, and lifted more than 25 pounds occasionally.
- Uses janitorial equipment, rolling racks, ladders, and other supplies.
- Co‑ordinates with additional qualifications and skills as needed.
- Stockroom shift associates may push, pull, and lift more than 20 pounds regularly.

CompensationThe base pay range for this role is $18.31 - $18.81. The base pay range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location.
