Insurance Agency | Remote (California)

We are seeking a motivated, relationship-driven Employee Benefits Consultant to join our growing benefits team. This role is ideal for a sales-oriented professional who enjoys building long-term client relationships and advising employers on comprehensive employee benefit solutions. The position focuses on new business development while providing ongoing support to small, mid-size, and large group benefit clients.

Position Overview

The Employee Benefits Consultant is responsible for prospecting, selling, and servicing employee benefit programs. This role requires a high level of professionalism, and a commitment to delivering an exceptional client experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new business through networking, referrals, cold calling, and community involvement
  • Build, manage, and maintain long-term relationships with small, mid-size, and large group benefits clients
  • Prepare, present, and clearly explain customized benefit proposals and carrier quotes
  • Submit employer group applications and all required supporting documentation to carriers
  • Resolve client and member inquiries efficiently via phone and email
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in Agency Bloc or a similar CRM system
  • Participate in BNI groups, carrier meetings, and industry networking events
  • Conduct ongoing market research to refine sales strategies and remain competitive
  • Track sales activity, manage pipeline updates, and report on production results
  • Ensure all sales and service activities meet regulatory, ethical, and compliance standards

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of insurance sales or employee benefits experience
  • Active Life & Health Insurance License (required)
  • Solid knowledge of employee benefit products, programs, and regulations
  • Experience with Agency Bloc or similar CRM platforms preferred
