Casual Child Care Supply Assistant

Make a difference in children's lives as a Child Care Supply Assistant with YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka. Enjoy casual, as-needed shifts while providing essential care and play-based learning.

This casual role requires you to engage with up to 15 children, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will implement play-based learning through the YMCA Curriculum and maintain positive communication with families and staff. Flexibility with scheduling and a passion for child care are essential to foster a nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care including toileting and first aid

• Monitor safety and supervision of children in groups

• Plan and implement engaging play-based learning

• Communicate positively with families and staff

• Support children with exceptional behaviors and needs

Requirements:

• Minimum 18 years of age

• Current First Aid and CPR certification

• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check

• Availability for minimum of two shifts per week

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
