We are currently hiring a News Reporter in our Bancroft and Barry’s Bay Moose FM newsroom. Our ideal candidate is comfortable writing online and radio news, recording news casts and becoming a member of the community.

About the Job:

This is a full-time news reporting position, and you will be writing and recording stories for My Bancroft Now ,  and our daily on-air newscasts.

Description:

• Be an active part of the community
• Craft and voice local and regional newscasts
• Researching and writing news stories for online and on-air broadcast
• Contributing to and updating websites

Key Requirements:

• Experience working in a newsroom or equivalent journalism background
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• You must have a valid driver's license
• Solid on-air delivery skills with a desire to learn and improve
• Experience working in a newsroom or equivalent journalism background is an asset
• Working familiarity with Adobe Audition, Newsroom, and on-air software
