Join Vista Radio Ltd as a News Reporter at Moose FM in Bancroft. This full-time opportunity allows you to engage with the community while reporting dynamic local stories for radio and online platforms.
In this role, you will be writing, recording, and broadcasting news for My Bancroft Now and You will contribute your unique perspective to the newsroom while building connections within Bancroft and Barry’s Bay. Candidates should have strong communication abilities and a passion for local news.
Key Responsibilities:
• Research and write news stories for digital and broadcast
• Present local newscasts, engaging the audience
• Actively participate in community events
• Maintain and update website content
• Collaborate with team members for story development
Requirements:
• Newsroom or equivalent journalism experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A valid driver’s license for covering local stories
• Solid on-air delivery and a desire to learn
• Working knowledge of newsroom software tools
