Location: Bancroft
Make a difference in Bancroft and Barry’s Bay as a News Reporter for Vista Radio Ltd. This full-time job focuses on writing and broadcasting stories that resonate with local audiences.
You will be an essential part of Moose FM's newsroom, responsible for crafting and voicing news items for My Bancroft Now and A passion for community engagement and storytelling is essential. Ideal candidates will possess journalism experience and thrive in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Write and present compelling news stories on-air
• Conduct research on local news topics
• Update digital platforms with timely content
• Engage with the community during reporting
• Collaborate with colleagues for news coverage
Requirements:
• Previous newsroom experience or journalism background
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken
• Valid driver's license for news coverage
• On-air presentation skills and eagerness to develop
• Familiarity with newsroom and audio production software
