Local Programming Producer

Become a key player in local news production with Cogeco's YourTV as a Producer in Peterborough, ON. You'll lead dynamic local programming, engage with the community, and produce compelling video content.

This role seeks a passionate Producer to drive end-to-end production for local news and events, emphasizing OHL sports coverage. You'll recruit, coach, and collaborate with community volunteers to produce high-quality local content. Your expertise in video journalism will help you report and anchor programs as an effective brand ambassador.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all phases of production from scripting to broadcasting

• Coordinate local sports programming and OHL game coverage

• Recruit and train a diverse crew of volunteers

• Manage community relations and engage via social media

• Conduct safety checks and vehicle maintenance responsibilities

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years in audio/video production

• College diploma in television production or related field

• Advanced camera, lighting, audio, and editing skills

• Strong video storytelling and reporting abilities

• Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license
