Job Title: Finance Manager
Location: Peterborough, Ontario
Permanent, Full-time
Salary: $110,000 - $125,000 based on experience
My client is seeking an experienced Regional Finance Manager to join a growing organization and play a key role in supporting business performance and strategic decision-making. This position is responsible for overseeing financial operations, managing the planning and reporting cycle, and providing leadership with meaningful financial insights to drive profitable growth.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee accounting and finance activities across the Regional Business Unit.
- Lead the monthly financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
- Prepare, analyze, and manage budgets and forecasts that reflect current business conditions.
- Prepare for and participate in Regional Business Unit leadership and board meetings.
- Perform financial analysis and develop management reports to support operational and business decisions.
- Partner with regional and site leadership to support pricing strategies and improve profitability by customer.
- Identify and implement initiatives to enhance operational and financial performance.
- Ensure strong internal controls are maintained to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
- Prepare ad hoc financial analyses, reports, and presentations as required.
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality and environmental management policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA designation is required.
- 3–7 years of hands‑on managerial accounting experience.
- Manufacturing industry experience is considered a strong asset.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
- Highly analytical with strong critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to present financial information to a variety of audiences.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to evaluate situations objectively and recommend effective solutions.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, with proficiency in PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications.
