Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Peterborough, Ontario

Permanent, Full-time

Salary: $110,000 - $125,000 based on experience

My client is seeking an experienced Regional Finance Manager to join a growing organization and play a key role in supporting business performance and strategic decision-making. This position is responsible for overseeing financial operations, managing the planning and reporting cycle, and providing leadership with meaningful financial insights to drive profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee accounting and finance activities across the Regional Business Unit.
  • Lead the monthly financial close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis.
  • Prepare, analyze, and manage budgets and forecasts that reflect current business conditions.
  • Prepare for and participate in Regional Business Unit leadership and board meetings.
  • Perform financial analysis and develop management reports to support operational and business decisions.
  • Partner with regional and site leadership to support pricing strategies and improve profitability by customer.
  • Identify and implement initiatives to enhance operational and financial performance.
  • Ensure strong internal controls are maintained to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses, reports, and presentations as required.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality and environmental management policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA designation is required.
  • 3–7 years of hands‑on managerial accounting experience.
  • Manufacturing industry experience is considered a strong asset.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Highly analytical with strong critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to present financial information to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to evaluate situations objectively and recommend effective solutions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, with proficiency in PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications.
