We currently have an opportunity for a Safe Accommodation Manager to join Peterborough Women’s Aid.
You will manage all our accommodation including refuge, move on and dispersed accommodation. You will manage a team of staff and have overall responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of the families we support.
You will work closely within a team in a fast-paced environment making quick informed decisions to ensure the safety of victims of domestic abuse.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- To ensure that all work by refuge staff is carried out in line with Peterborough Women’s Aid polices
- To act as the designated Safeguarding Lead in the absence of the Senior Management Team and make safeguarding decisions.
- To have awareness of budgets and monitor expenditure for Safe Accommodation projects.
- To line manage refuge staff. This includes monthly supervision, daily welfare checks, approving expenses and identifying development needs.
- To ensure that service delivery is in line with contractual obligations. For example, number of referrals received and demographics
- To facilitate training and awareness events to professionals and community members
- To attend fundraising events possibly at weekends
- To ensure that all staff are working within PWA policies including lone
working procedures.
- To cover for refuge staff, work directly with clients when needed and contribute to out of hours on call.
- To ensure health and safety checks are being completed and any issues are reported or escalated.
- To ensure that clients in dispersed accommodation are managed according to PWA policies
- To cover any other reasonable duties at the request of the CEO or Trustees
