Bridge Youth Centre Coordinator

Organization: Peterborough Youth Unlimited

Position Summary

Peterborough Youth Unlimited is seeking a dedicated and experienced program development coordinator to support and strengthen our strategic youth-focused initiatives. This role is responsible for working alongside the Director and assisting with the development, coordination, and ongoing improvement of all organizational programs, ensuring they effectively meet the needs of the community we serve.

Primary

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of all youth programs
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to ensure programs are engaging, inclusive, and impactful
  • Support program planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Monitor program outcomes and recommend improvements based on feedback and data
  • Foster positive relationships with youth, families, and community partners
  • Ensure programs align with the organization’s mission and values
  • Provide leadership and guidance to program staff and volunteers
Spiritual and Personal Development
  • Pursue an active and growing relationship with God.
  • Participate in training opportunities as approved by the Executive Director.
  • Agree to our Statement of Faith and follow YFC Canada Community Covenant.
  • Completion of YFC Canada Credentialing Program within 2 years of start date.
Qualifications
  • College or university training in a relevant program
  • Experience working with youth in community or non-profit settings
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Passion for youth development and community engagement
Preferred Assets
  • Experience in program development or coordination
  • Knowledge of local community resources
  • Leadership experience in a non-profit or youth-serving organization
  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work (BASW) preferred
Employment Details
  • Full-time position
  • Compensation based on experience
  • Some evening and weekend work may be required
  • Fundraising for positions will be required
