Wolseley Canada, a leading wholesale distributor of plumbing, HVAC/R, waterworks, and industrial products, is seeking an Outside Sales Representative for its Waterworks division.

- Promote and sell new products to meet branch sales objectives and achieve sales results.
- Maintain and optimize strong customer relationships with existing customers while developing new customer potential by offering professional, effective, and efficient solutions.
- Provide quotations, technical support, literature, and other support/materials for customers.
- Develop new business by examining market opportunities, tailoring products and services, and offering solutions to potential customers.
- Participate in setting branch sales objectives and be accountable for achieving sales results (revenue, gross margin, account targets, and monthly sales quotas).
- Advise the branches on pricing competitiveness to achieve margin expectations while ensuring flexibility in gaining large volume and/or new customer accounts.
- Pro-actively communicate with Branch Management on all aspects of customer alliances, ensuring customers and branch expectations are met consistently with contract terms and addressing any issues immediately.
- Work collaboratively with Branch employees while providing feedback and recommendations on new products, services and market conditions.
- Participate in trade shows, training, and associated product meetings where appropriate.
- Create a weekly travel and call schedule with Branch Management.
- A minimum of two (2) years’ of experience in a similar role with a proven track record of profitable sales and cold-calling experience, preferably within the waterworks wholesale distribution industry.
- Ability to read construction drawings, perform take-offs, and write up quotes and orders in the Wolseley system.
- Capability to meet and exceed sales quotas and targets.
- Deadline-driven with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Strong ability to work independently to efficiently manage the assigned territory and accounts.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain strong relationships.
- Initiative and ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team-based environment.
- Highly organized in prioritizing work and multi-tasking.
- Comfortable with commuting to various client calls.
