Hydrogeologist

Position: Hydrogeologist Role at Region of Waterloo
Lead hydrogeologic services at the Region of Waterloo in a temporary full-time capacity. Utilize your expertise in groundwater management within a hybrid work model in this impactful role.

This position supports the planning, design, and management of municipal groundwater supplies. As a critical part of the Hydrogeology division, you will apply key skills in hydrogeologic assessments, data management, and public consultations. Your expertise will directly influence source water protection and groundwater quality for our community's sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage hydrogeologic investigations

• Review submissions from developers and external agencies

• Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments

• Implement groundwater monitoring programs

• Collaborate with project teams on design studies

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Hydrogeology or related field

• Experience in groundwater assessments and geological studies

• Knowledge of environmental legislation and regulations

• Skills in analytical reporting and public communication

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
