Job SummaryPropane Service Technician II – Responsible for installing, maintaining and servicing propane appliances and storage equipment while providing top‑tier customer service. Must hold a minimum G2 certification and be willing to obtain LP endorsement within 18 months of employment.
Responsibilities- Install and maintain a wide variety of propane appliances and storage equipment.
- Provide expert service and maintenance to various brands of heating equipment in the field, ensuring customer systems run efficiently and safely.
- Participate in on‑call shifts during regular and off‑business hours to provide timely service and issue resolution.
- Plan and execute service calls efficiently, ensuring all work is completed on time and to customer satisfaction.
- Promote company offerings to customers, identifying sales opportunities to help meet branch revenue targets.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing client concerns, explaining repairs, and maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Complete all required paperwork, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports, in alignment with company policies and procedures.
- Follow company policies and safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure all tasks are performed safely.
- Conduct site‑specific hazard assessments as required by company safety policies and report any unsafe acts or conditions when identified.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly vehicle inspections to ensure company vehicles are in proper working order, clean, and presentable to uphold the company image.
- Uphold the highest standards of service and safety while representing Avenir Energy in the field.
- Minimum G2 certification required, with willingness to acquire LP endorsement within the first 18 months of employment.
- Other trade certificates (e.g., air conditioning, sheet metal) are considered an asset.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a service technician role, ideally with multi‑certificate qualifications.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and maintain positive client relationships.
- Clean driving record is a must; DZ license considered an asset.
- Ability to promote and ‘up‑sell’ company services during service calls to drive branch performance and customer satisfaction.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to work independently while following company guidelines.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to complete required paperwork and documentation accurately and on time.
- Commitment to safety protocols and the ability to work in compliance with all company policies.
