Landscape Foreman​/Woman

Job Description

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, self-driven and detail oriented individual with great ability to multitask and prioritize. The foreman/woman is responsible for installation and management of landscape and hardscape projects with great precision and business minded efficiency. Must communicate well with all crew members, supervisors, and clientele. A valid G driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

Hired applicant will be paid competitively based on experience and be responsible for:

• Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times
• Supervise and manage landscape crew
• Ensure that all crew members utilize all required personal protective equipment
• Ensuring projects are properly completed in a timely manner.
• Overseeing and directing the crew.
• Working with the Landscape Manager to finalize details of landscape.
• Directing crew on site and leading them through tasks and projects.
• Ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and any broken or missing equipment is fixed or replaced.
• Updating the Landscape Manager on projects progress throughout the day.
• Troubleshooting problems as they arise.
• Keeping project on schedule and in budget.
• Keeping the Landscape Manager informed of any relevant customer communications/issues.
• Managing multiple install jobs and work orders at the same time.
• Maintaining the valuable reputation that Horlings Garden Centre has held/maintained

Qualified applicants must have:

• Knowledge and experience in installing a variety of hardscape and softscape applications
• Knowledge of perennials, shrubs, evergreens and trees; identification and cultural requirements
• Excellent attention to detail while working in a fast paced and fun environment
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills
• Good time management, punctual with ability to prioritize
• Expected to have knowledge in general construction aspects ranging from planting, concrete and carpentry
• Customer service experience and knowledge
• Ability to maintain high expectations and standards within your crew
• Ensure that all equipment is maintained and in a working/ready state
• Ability to work Monday - Friday
