Apprentice Mechanic in Fleet Operations

Expand your skills with GFL as an Apprentice Mechanic, focused on maintaining our fleet of vehicles. This role combines technical training with practical experience in vehicle safety and performance.

As a Fleet Maintenance Apprentice, you will undergo training for vehicle inspections, minor repairs, and preventative maintenance. Under the guidance of experienced mechanics, you will learn to enhance the safety and reliability of our commercial motor vehicles by adhering to DOT regulations and established company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute oil changes and tire rotations as instructed

• Document repairs and identify vehicle needs

• Assist in the overall maintenance of the fleet

• Operate shop tools and equipment safely

• Maintain compliance with OSHA Standards in the workspace

Requirements:

• Current Level 3 apprentice registration in Truck & Coach

• Familiarity with maintenance tools and procedures

• Strong attention to detail and integrity

• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

• Flexibility in adapting to training situations
