Help Desk Technician

Qualifications

Educational requirements: Associate's Degree in computer science (or related field) or equivalent work experience preferred.

Reports to: IT Manager

Primary job responsibility: Serve as the first point of contact for end users and provide technical assistance for incoming issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.

• Superior help desk and customer support skills;
• Diagnose and resolve technical system/hardware/software issues;
• Excellent writing and grammar skills, along with strong verbal communication;
• Advise/train users on appropriate action;
• Follow standard help desk procedures;
• Identify and escalate situations requiring urgent attention;
• Strong analytical, technical, problem-solving, and organizational skills;
• Possess attention to detail and follow through;
• Is a self-starter who can work independently;
• Able to work in a team and communicate effectively;
• Demonstrates an eagerness to learn and is able to multitask;
• Stays current with system information, changes, and updates;
• Windows 7/8/8.1/10/11 Knowledge:
  Intermediate;
• Windows Server 2012/2012 R2/2016/2019 Knowledge:
  Intermediate;
• VMware, Hypervisor and Virtual Box Knowledge:
  Intermediate;
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications;
• Other tasks as assigned.
