We are supporting a well-established manufacturer in Peterborough, NH looking to add an experienced Buyer to its purchasing team.

Salary: Up to $90,000

This is a hands-on, tactical purchasing position responsible for ensuring materials and components are available to support production.

You will work closely with suppliers, Production, Warehouse and the wider Supply Chain team to manage purchasing requirements from order placement through to delivery.

• Purchase raw materials, components and production requirements
• Create, manage, expedite and track purchase orders
• Monitor supplier delivery dates and resolve shortages or delays
• Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers
• Source and evaluate new suppliers when required
• Support supplier pricing and negotiations
• Monitor inventory requirements against production demand
• Ensure materials are available to meet manufacturing schedules
• Resolve supplier quality and delivery issues
• Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records
• Review open and closed purchase orders for accuracy
• Work closely with Production and Warehouse teams to maintain material flow

• Previous Buyer/Purchasing experience
• Strong supplier and vendor management skills
• Experience managing purchase orders and delivery schedules
• Understanding of inventory and material requirements
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• Confident communication and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities

Experience purchasing raw materials or components within manufacturing would be particularly valuable, although candidates from other inventory-led purchasing environments will also be considered.
