Position Overview

Clinical Coordinator (RN)

The Clinical Coordinator (RN) role is essential for optimizing the performance of the clinical team within the practice.

This position focuses on coordinating clinical support staff activities to improve both information and patient flow, while ensuring sufficient staffing coverage during office hours.

The Registered Nurse (RN) in this role is tasked with prescribing and coordinating advanced nursing care for assigned patients, executing responsibilities independently in accordance with established standards of nursing practice, relevant medical directives, and institutional policies.

Utilizing the Nursing Process, the RN conducts assessments, develops care plans, implements interventions, and evaluates patient outcomes. Additionally, the RN serves as an Office Nurse, responsible for triaging patient inquiries, managing prescription refills, and coordinating comprehensive care measures. Other responsibilities may be occasionally assigned as necessitated by the operational needs of the practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patient Care Delivery: Provide direct nursing interventions by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care strategies to achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
  • Interdisciplinary

    Collaboration:

    Work collaboratively with physicians, fellow nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to formulate and execute individualized patient care plans.
  • Clinical Documentation: Maintain thorough and precise medical records detailing patient conditions, treatment protocols, and progress notes, ensuring timely reporting of any clinical changes to relevant team members.
  • Medication Administration: Ensure the accurate and safe administration of prescribed medications and treatments, adhering strictly to institutional policies and clinical guidelines.
  • Patient and Family

    Education:

    Educate patients and their families concerning disease management strategies, treatment alternatives, and preventive health measures to foster optimal wellness.
  • Advocacy and Support: Provide emotional support and advocate vigorously for patient rights, ensuring they receive dignified and compassionate care throughout their healthcare journey.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Uphold hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards to maintain a safe, ethical, and effective clinical environment.
  • Professional Development: Engage in continuous education to remain abreast of advancements in medical knowledge, best practices, and industry standards.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Maintenance of patient confidentiality.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and healthcare equipment.
  • Educational credentials:
    Associate’s degree in Nursing (minimum) with a preference for a Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience in pediatric nursing preferred.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a clinical medical office setting, with prior supervisory experience overseeing clinical staff.
  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license from the New Hampshire Board of Nursing, verified via Nursys.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Certification and License Requirements
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is mandatory.
  • Must possess a current New Hampshire RN license or an active Compact License at the time of application submission.
