Shift: 7am-3:30 pm
Contract:9 weeks
Guaranteed hour: 40
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our long-term care facility team. The LPN will provide high-quality nursing care to residents in accordance with facility policies, state regulations, and the individual care plans of each resident. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of geriatric care and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for elderly residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and facility policies.
- Monitor and document residents' health status and report any significant changes to the RN or physician.
- Assist with the development and implementation of individualized care plans.
- Provide direct patient care, including wound care, catheter care, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely nursing documentation.
- Supervise and support Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and other support staff.
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies and safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Participate in shift reports, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Current and valid LPN license in the state of employment.
- CPR/BLS certification (required).
- At least 2 year of nursing experience in a long-term care or similar healthcare setting
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems (preferred).
