Emergency Room Nurse (RN)
The Emergency Room Nurse (RN) prescribes and coordinates professional nursing care for assigned patients. The Emergency RN carries out responsibilities independently within the guidelines of accepted nursing practice, medical direction, and hospital policies. Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions to ensure optimal outcomes. Collaborate with physicians, fellow nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Maintain accurate and detailed medical records of patients' conditions, treatments, and progress. Report any changes or concerns promptly to the appropriate team members. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to hospital policies and protocols. Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment options, and preventive measures to promote overall wellness. Offer emotional support and advocate for patients' rights, ensuring they receive compassionate and respectful care.
Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines to maintain a safe and ethical work environment. Stay updated on medical advancements and best practices through ongoing professional development activities. Perform other duties as assigned.
