Registered Nurse (RN) Endoscopy/GI

Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Endoscopy/GI provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing gastrointestinal procedures. They coordinate and execute pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care to ensure patient safety and comfort within a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' conditions and prepare them for GI procedures, ensuring thorough understanding and comfort.
• Administer medications, sedation, and treatments in accordance with physician orders and safety protocols.
• Monitor patients closely during procedures, documenting vital signs and responses.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, post-care instructions, and health maintenance strategies.
• Collaborate with physicians, clinicians, and support staff to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines to maintain high-quality care.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the New Hampshire Board of Nursing, verified via Nursys.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA is required.
• Minimum of some clinical experience in a GI/endoscopy setting; new grads not accepted.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and GI-specific nursing protocols.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and patient advocacy.
