Under the supervision of the South Meadow High School Principal and Athletic Director, the Coach will coordinate the South Meadow School program. This individual will develop and maintain a quality program founded on sound baseball fundamentals, principles and strong team values while creating a healthy competitive environment to play in. Additional objectives will be to instill the ethics of hard work, commitment, loyalty, honesty, respect and sportsmanship into the culture of the program.

• Collect, maintain and inventory all equipment in the program
• Communicate all information regarding the Con Val Baseball Program to the Athletic Director, parents and community
• Maintain discipline and work to build pride in all sports programs within the community

• Work cooperatively with the administration, staff, parents and community
• Motivate students/athletes academically, athletically and personally
• Work cooperatively with and support all other coaches in serving the needs and interests of all students/athletes
• Select, design and teach basic techniques and skills
• Develop and run organized and competitive practices
• Communicate with the Media

• Helping the growth of students/athletes
• Strong work ethic
• Strong leadership
• Ability to ask questions to better evaluate decisions
• Ability to provide constructive feedback to students/athletes

• Red Cross First Aid Certificate, including CPR and concussion training is required

• At least one year of successful Middle School and/or High School or Club level experience preferred
• Participation as a player at the high school or collegiate level preferred
• Experience in organizational skills
